Brazil vs Peru predictions ahead of this international friendly clash in the early hours of Wednesday. Brazil meet Peru in this rematch of the Copa America final. Read on for our match preview and free betting tips.

PICK: Over 2.5 Match Goals

REASON FOR THIS PREDICTION

Wednesday brings a rematch of the Copa America final, as Brazil clash with Peru. These two sides are familiar foes, having clashed twice in 2019 already. They are set for a rematch in the group stage of the 2020 Copa America, while they met twice in the World Cup qualifying campaign. These two may be used to each other, but Peru have struggled to get close to Brazil in their clashes of late. Can they change that when they clash with the South American champions in Los Angeles this week?

The Brazilians are aiming to continue their fine form in this friendly, especially since they have to defend their title next summer in a year which sees their 2022 World Cup campaign kick-off. The good news for the Samba Stars is that they’re heading towards the New Year on a fine run, having gone 17 games without defeat since their World Cup exit to Belgium. They are building up some fine momentum for bigger challenges to come, but can they carry it through this meeting on Wednesday?

Peru are coming off back to back defeats have lost to Ecuador in their first game back after their Copa America loss. They did incredibly well to make the final, seeing off the likes of Uruguay and Chile to book their place in the final. They may have lost out to Brazil, but their run was a huge boost for a side who won admirers in their World Cup group stage exit the year before. However, their 1-0 loss at the weekend suggests that they could struggle here, as does the recent history between the pair.

Brazil have scored twice or more in six of their last seven clashes with Peru, scoring 18 times in those meetings. They come into this clash looking to build on their recent run, having hit 27 goals across their last 10 matches. They’ve got Neymar back up front, while he’s currently supported by Richarlison and Philippe Coutinho. The South American giants have plenty of talent in reserve too, so we expect them to keep up their scoring form against Peru.

However, Brazil did show some signs of weakness in their 2-2 draw with Colombia at the weekend. They aren’t entirely solid defensively, as Peru discovered as they scored in the Copa America final. We expect more goals between these two, with Brazil in scoring form. We’re going with over 2.5 goals as our tip for this clash, while we’re backing another 3-1 victory for the Samba Stars.
